Honoring Home Care Workers

November is National Home Care and Hospice Month. Every year the home care and hospice community honors the millions of nurses, home care aides, therapists, and social workers who make a remarkable difference for the patients and families they serve. These heroic caregivers – many of whom work at Family Home Health – play a central role in our healthcare system and in homes across the nation.

With 10,000 Americans turning 65 every day, the need for healthcare will continue to rise, and costs will continue to skyrocket. This is where home care comes in. As the preferred choice for most patients, it also offers the greatest cost savings. For example, according to the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, Medicare pays nearly $2,000 per day for a typical hospital stay and $450 per day for a typical nursing home stay. Home care costs less and helps many U.S. seniors remain independent at home, enrich their lives, and keep in touch with those they love.

At Family Home Health, our team of professionals are skilled clinicians and rehabilitation therapists. They work with your physician to ensure you are getting the treatment you need to recover from or manage an illness, surgery or medical condition.

Our goal is to create an environment where our patients can continue living a fulfilling and purposeful life in the midst of medical challenges. The benefits of home care include:

  • Our caregivers plan their treatment around your schedule – not the other way around.
  • You receive treatment in the comfort of your own home, allowing you to be around the people and place you love.
  • You receive the tools and resources to live life on your own terms.
  • And more.

Learn more about eligibility and payment here. If you’d like to find out whether you’re eligible for our home care services, please contact us today. We’d be happy to explain our services and learn how we can help you in your wellness journey.

In the meantime, please join us in thanking home care workers for their commitment to their work and those they assist.
